Advent Greetings

Greetings during this second week of Advent!

Advent is a time of quiet, joyful preparation for the celebration of Jesus’ birth and also a time to remember that we wait for Christ to come again. It is a season of hope and anticipation. Advent is also a time of new beginnings and a season of giving.

Thank you so much for your generous support with the Shepherds of Good Hope “Christmas Shoe Box” campaign. This important initiative was organized by our Social Justice Club. We also thank you for your amazing support of our Angel Tree. Through your generous spirits, you will make a difference in the lives of many during the Christmas holidays. These initiatives have been unique opportunities for our students to learn about the social Catholic teachings of Jesus Christ.

As the Christmas holidays approach, let us keep in our hearts and prayers the families in our community who are facing difficult times in their lives.  May the peace and joy of this magical time of year surround these families in warmth and love. On behalf of the staff of St. Thomas More, we wish you and your families the many blessings of this magical Christmas season.

God of hope, help us to prepare a place for you in our lives. Open our lives to receive you and teach us to walk in your ways.”         Amen

Wishing you a blessed Christmas season,

Ms. Denise Gotell  and Mrs. Michelle McGarry    Leadership Team St. Thomas More
