HALLOWEEN - Thursday Oct. 31at @ STM

posted Oct 27, 2019, 12:22 PM by Tania Gamache

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As per tradition at STM, Kindergarten students are invited to wear costumes on Halloween, October 31, 2019. The FDK students will have an opportunity to celebrate and share with our community as they enjoy a much loved, short parade through our school.

As we approach Halloween, it is important to be aware and sensitive to the diverse nature of our schools. While many Canadians are accustomed to the costumes and traditions associated with Halloween, for many newcomer students to Canada this is a brand new experience. We seek your cooperation to ensure that the Halloween costumes the Kindergarten students wear to school on Thursday are culturally sensitive and respectful to all members of our community. Thank you.

Students in Gr. 1-6 are invited to participate in our Halloween Theme Day by wearing Orange and Black on Thursday, Oct. 31.

All students are invited to participate in our Annual Pumpkin Raffle on Wed, October 30th. Raffle tickets are available for purchase ($1.00 per ticket) on Tues/Wed this week (Oct. 29-30) Money raised will go towards the Catholic Education Foundation of Ottawa (CEFO). The Pumpkin Raffle is coordinated by our Gr. 5 Social Justice Club.

Thank you for your support!

Your leadership team,

Ms. Gotell and Mrs. G
