Season of Advent

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Today we begin the Season of Advent and at the same time, we begin a new Liturgical calendar year. (Year A)

Advent is an opportunity for preparation and anticipation. Christmas is the fulfillment of the hope given in Advent and the realization of God's promise. As Advent begins, we are called to reflect upon how ready we are for Jesus' coming. Are we "awake and attentive" to the numerous ways that God speaks to us on a daily basis?

May this Season of Advent be a time when you and your family prepare your hearts for the coming of our Lord.

The staff of St. Thomas More extend to you and your family best wishes for a blessed Advent Season!

Ms. Gotell and Mrs. Gamache

"Lord, as Advent begins, help me to put my eyes on You. Help me to open my ears to Your voice. Help me to open my heart to Your glorious presence.  May I be attentive to You in every way You desire to come to me. Jesus, I trust in You."     Amen.
