Prayer for Students God of Light and Truth, Thank You for giving me a mind that can know and a heart that can love. Help me to keep learning every day of my life, for all knowledge leads to You. Let me be aware of Your presence in all things and at all times. Encourage me when work is difficult and when I am tempted to give up; encourage me when my brain seems slow and the way forward is difficult. Grant me the grace to put my mind to use exploring the world You have created, confident that in You there is a wisdom that is real. Amen. ______________________________________________________________ Principal Message Dear Wolfpack families, I would like to inform you all that I will be away on extended leave as I have an upcoming scheduled surgery. In my absence, Principal Elizabeth Dean will be principal in charge alongside Vice Principal, Teri Shurb. I look forward to catching up with all of you when I return. Take time to enjoy your family and friends over this extended weekend. Yours in Education, Chris Risto ______________________________________________________________ Staggered Arrival and Dismissal A reminder that we continue to have the same staggered arrival and dismissal procedure at STM to reduce the number of students in the hallways and stairwells due to Covid. Arrival - between 8:15am and 8:30am, students enter their assigned door and head directly to their classroom. Instruction starts promptly at 8:30am. Dismissal - between 2:45pm and 3:00pm students head to bus lines, EDP or their designated door where either parents/guardians meet them or they walk directly home if they have permission. ______________________________________________________________ Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week Next week is bullying awareness and prevention week at STM. Classes have been asked to make posters to promote the anti-bullying theme we promote within the Wolfpack. Students will hear anti-bullying messages in the daily announcements led by a grade 6 student. And we also will have our first STM Spirit Week, see the week at a glance for each’s days themes. During this time, we are also asking everyone to donate what they can so that we can further our commitment to Be Community and help out families in need this Christmas, both within our own school as well as our companion school St. Luke (Ottawa). Due to pandemic restrictions around the handling of cash, DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLINE ONLY. Thank you for your generosity and your Be Community spirit! ______________________________________________________________ Week at a Glance Monday, Nov. 16th Tuesday, Nov. 17th Wednesday, Nov.18th 6:30pm- Catholic School Council Virtual Meeting (A google meeting link will be sent out today for access to the CSC meet) Pink Shirt Day Initial Observation Reports for Kindergarten available at 5pm on the parent portal
