| Dear Wolfpack families, knowing that Halloween may look a little different for our Wolfpack families this year, we are inviting all of the students from Kindergarten -Grade 6 to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Friday, October 30th. We don’t expect families to purchase a costume if you don’t plan on celebrating Halloween this year. Our school wide costume day will be in support of our Catholic Education Foundation Fundraiser (CEFO). This foundation supports families in the Ottawa Catholic School board. STM Families are encouraged to donate 2$ using school cash online. Thank you kindly in advance for your support. A few requests in regards to Halloween costumes… Please ensure that costumes are culturally sensitive. As per OPH direction we are abl e to wear simple costumes. Please no costume masks or props, such as wands, swords, lightsabers, etc. Also, please understand that your child will be involved in a regular school day, so the costume needs to be able to withstand all regular school activities, including going to the washroom by him/herself and playing outdoors. Students will not be permitted to change clothes at school and must arrive in costume. And as always, if you prefer you may continue to wear black and orange. We Thank you for your cooperation. We certainly don’t want any disappointed children if the costume is ruined before the weekend. ___________________________________________________________________ Winter Clothing Update Dear wolfpack families, well the beautiful fall weather has finally given way to the cold and the rain, but I’m pleasantly surprised to see that it hasn’t dampened the enthusiasm and commitment of our wolfpack staff and students as we head into the colder months. Let’s begin to dress for the weather (outdoor boots/indoor shoes, hats, mits toques and snowpants) everyone. Staff have been setting up their rooms and hallways to accommodate the storage of indoor shoes, boots, coats and snow pants as well as providing socially distanced routines for students to change from their outdoor to their indoor clothing. Students in grades 1-6 are welcomed to start leaving their indoor shoes at school. Each student has been provided a plastic bin to store their clothing items.
